27 Best Hobbies for Elegant and Feminine Women
If you’re going through your levelling up journey to become a more elegant and feminine woman, you’ll know how important it is to level up every aspect of your life to see the best changes and reap the rewards. But what you might not have thought about, is how this also extends to your hobbies and how you spend your free time.
These days it feels as though there’s pressure to turn every hobby and pass-time into a money making side business!
If you have a hobby that you’re truly passionate about and you would love to develop it into a fully fledged business, then that’s amazing and go right ahead.
But there’s something satisfying in having a hobby just because it’s something you like to do when relaxing on an evening, possibly with a glass of wine, smooth jazz playing in the background and most importantly, where there’s no pressure attached to be the best or make money from it.

Elegant women are creative and love to tap into this side of their femininity on a regular basis. To step into your best and most elegant self, try a new hobby or revive an old hobby that you’ve recently neglected.
Since starting on my own levelling up journey, I’ve really evaluated how I spend my time when I’m not at work and I’ve become so much more intentional with my evenings and weekends.
I used to be as guilty as the next person, that as soon as I finished work, I’d immediately have the TV on and would watch whatever mindless programme was on until it was time for bed, ready to rinse and repeat the same thing the next day!
Now, I barely ever watch TV. Unless I’m specifically sitting down to watch an episode of a show I’m actually interested in… Ok, so it’s my weekly guilty pleasure of The Real Housewives of Beverley Hills and Atlanta, but aside from that, I don’t even think about TV anymore.
Instead, when I finish work I’m more interested in cooking a wholesome meal and really enjoying it, reading or going for a walk in nature.
If the weather isn’t great, and let’s face it, in the UK the weather is never great, I’ll cosy up with a cup of tea and read a book.
I’m also looking to take up another hobby that isn’t linked to a screen or exercise. I’ve been thinking about scrapbooking or making more of my own planner inserts as both of these are something I love to do and I can spend hours looking at how other people have designed their planners – I’ll be sure to keep you updated on my Insta if I decide to take it more seriously!
Choosing an Elegant Hobby
Of course, you could dive right into any hobby or take the first one on my list of suggestions and start today. But I would actually encourage you to pause and think about the hobby you may want to start as it potentially could be with you for a long time. Or, even if you change hobbies every few months, this can still be a costly affair if each hobby requires you to invest in certain tools or memberships etc.
For example, I’d love to get into horse riding, however it’s something that I’m unlikely to do as the cost of all the equipment plus lessons soon adds up to a small fortune and the truth is, I’m just not that passionate about it to justify the cost.
Also when choosing a hobby, make sure it’s something of quality. Sure, becoming a film buff may count as a hobby, but it’s more likely to be a distraction than a relaxing pass-time.
As I’ve said before, elegant and high-value women act with intention and purpose rather than simply reacting to everything that happens throughout their day.
Now, this isn’t to say you can’t be a film buff or that it isn’t an interest or hobby for you, but I would consider adding something else to your list of hobbies that gets you thinking, moving or creating something in one way or another. And dare I say it, being a film buff isn’t exactly screaming elegance!
The best part about having a hobby, especially one that is away from a screen, is that it will improve your mental health and happiness as well as help you unwind after a day at work or errands.
