Daily Journal Prompts For a Successful and Productive Day

We all know the benefits from journaling on a daily basis.  You can have more clarity around your life goals, become more confident and manifest the life of your dreams.

Despite the benefits, some days it just seems harder than others to know what to write in your journal or to keep the habit going.

The easiest way I’ve found to keep myself consistently journaling for years now is to start with a journal prompt.  Sometimes I’ll reflect on several journal prompts and other times I’ll be in the flow of writing that I’ll naturally know what to journal next.

For me, I need my daily journal prompts to either set me up for a successful and productive day, or to reflect on the day to see what went well and what could be improved for tomorrow.

The journal prompts I’ve shared below will hopefully help you do the same.  Even if you wake up not feeling great or something happened earlier in the day to make you feel down, journaling can help reframe your mind and feel positive again.

If you’re new to journaling, I’ve written this dedicated blog post to what journal prompts are and how to get the best use from them.

I’d also suggest making the small investment into a decent journal like this one, or journal paper you can print.  You’ll also need pens that don’t bleed through the paper.

Daily journaling tips

My top 3 tips for making journaling a part of your daily habits:

  1. Buy a journal you like and a decent pen to go with it – I’ll be honest, a journal with an aesthetic cover will always make me journal more regularly. Whether it’s a plain neutral colour or it has a lovely pattern, I’m always drawn towards it more.
  2. Keep your journal where you can see it – I like to keep my journal either on my bedside table or on my desk so when I wake up or go to bed it’ll remind me to journal about my day ahead or what has already happened.
  3. If one prompt doesn’t work, move on –  Not every single journal prompt will trigger a response in you every single day.  If one day you’re not feeling one but another is screaming at you, choose that instead. Rarely should journal prompts be answered in a set order.
